advice on which valves to purchase for piped installation (central heating)
- This radiator is not supplied with valves, as we have such a vast selection of styles & colours to choose from. We do not include them (like some other retailers) as we cannot make this choice on your behalf.
- However, we make choosing the correct valves very easy for you. With our years of experience, we know once homeowners have chosen their radiator the valve selection process can be a little daunting — and even the plumber won't make the best choice for you in terms of aesthetics. You need to do this yourself, as you are left looking at the installation once the plumber has gone. We often speak to homeowners who are disappointed with how a poor valve choice or absence of pipes & covers has let down the look — don't let this be you.
- On the right-hand side of this page we have pre-filtered our vast selection of valves to show you only the optimal valves for this specific model — easy. You’ll see two sections:
- 1. matching/complementary colour valve & pipe sets — these could be an exact match (painted using the same paint as the radiator) or the closest complementary match (dependent on availability). These valves come complete with pipes and wall covers to conceal the standard copper or plastic pipes for a professional finish.
- 2. standard valve & pipe sets — more economical standard valves which are not painted using the same paints as the radiator, so will never match. Pipes and covers must be purchased separately.
-
Which orientation of valves do I need: 3-axis (corner), straight or angled?
- 1. Pipework through the wall — typically most modern pipework comes through the wall, and for this you'll need angled valves. If your pipework is not yet in, our advice is to ask your plumber to bring it through the wall.
- 2. Pipework through the floor — you'll need straight valves.
- Additionally, we have created a thorough and detailed technical guide on radiator valves, giving even more information and tips.
