heat output
- Firstly, if you haven't already done so - use our heat calculator to work out your specific requirements for your room to ensure you are looking at the right size electric radiator - in terms of the Watts / Kilowatts heat output it gives.
design & material
- IRON D is designed with large flat bars which sweep forward and then bend backwards on themselves and meet at the centre in the back for a left and right sided open design.
- IRON D has a masking cover which makes the bars appear as if floating.
- The larger surface area compared to many standard ladder-type rails delivers higher heat output and allows the colour finish to stand out more prominently as a design feature.
- Made from low carbon mild steel.
- Additionally, we have created a thorough and detailed technical guide on electric radiators, giving even more information and tips.
full range of sizes available
- In addition to the sizes we are displaying here on the heat is on - you can view the full range of 18 different sizes of IRON D here on the Terma website.
- We can process a special order for any size you wish to purchase if that size is not shown on our website.
control & functionality
- Supplied with the Terma TDY heating element.
- This element has been designed with hotels or commercial spaces in mind as it will auto shit off after being turned on.
-
Automatic Timer sets the operating time between 60 -180 minutes (default setting is 120 minutes). The clear display shows time left until automatic switch off.
- NOTE: No continuous operation possible. You can special order this with any other element which does not have auto shut off if required.
- 3 heat settings (40°C, 50°C and 60°C) regulating the internal radiator temperature, denoted by 5 LEDs
colour & finish
- Painted in RAL 4010 Matt Hot Pink.
- Finished in a matt, smooth texture.
- This is a standard powder paint.
- Additionally, we have created a thorough and detailed technical guide on paint finishes and colours giving even more information and tips.
- Don't see the model listed in the exact colour you are looking for - you can order almost any radiator in any bespoke colour - click to view our PDFs showcasing the full colour palettes on offer.
installation & features
- Element is pre fitted inside the radiator - located on the left hand side (E1 connection). If you would like the heating element on the right hand side (E8 connection), please contact us to place this as a special order. Consider where your electric supply will be so the wire has the shortest distance to travel.
- Quick and simple installation; no commissioning required.
- This electric towel rail is not supplied with a plug - so must be connected to a switched fused spur - or you can mount a plug (if this is not being installed in a bathroom). If you'd like a model pre fitted with a plug look at the Wi-Fi options as the VEO elements are pre fitted with a UK plug.
- Note: The cable masking cover shown in the images at the rear of the element, which covers the wire up to the entry point into the wall, is not included and needs to be bought separately (link shown top right to product).
safety & compliance
- IPX5 rated – safe for use in bathrooms.
- Oil-filled for efficient, consistent heat distribution.
